1206F系列為7升排量的6缸中冷發動機,可配備單級渦輪增壓器或串聯雙級渦輪增壓器,加上輕質且尺寸緊湊的后處理組件,使這組裝尺寸更緊湊的發動機可輕易取代較大排量的同類產品。此裝置由柴油氧化催化裝置(DOC) / 柴油顆粒濾清器 (DPF) 容器和選擇性催化還原(SCR) 系統集成為一個綜合組件,而這組件可以安裝在機械的底座上,而不是在發動機內,也可直接安裝在發動機的頂部。
